After thrilling listeners in 2016,  the Imani Gospel Singers, brought their passion and energy back to montreal's oldest chapel. An authentic gospel experience full of gratitude, joy and hope.

The crypt church at st- Joseph's Oratory was filled with song and mucis by eight choirs back-to- back! This was a free activity for Nuit Blanche a Montreal, by Montreal en Lumière.

After several months of anticipation, Montreal-based vocal ensemble the Imani Gospel Singers launched its brand new album entitled “Faith” to coincide with Black History Month. The public was invited to a hand-clapping, foot-stomping celebration of Gospel music.

The Atwater Library is a nonprofit community organization that was traces its origins back to 1928. As a part of their Lunchtime Series and in celebration of Black History Month, the Imani Gospel Singers performed a program of spiritual music and discuss the evolution of Black gospel music.

The Imani Gospel Singers performed at Parkdale United Church in Ottawa for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. service, led by Rev. Dr. Anthony Bailey.  This celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was filled with praise, worship, and original songs from the upcoming album.

ICI Musique: Two hours of pure happiness with the talented Florence K, who invites you to share in the magic of Christmas in all its glory. Accompanied by her bassist Domenic Romanelli and a group of eight singers from the Imani Gospel Singers. Florence K plays and sings Christmas classics and inspirational tunes from all walks of life.

The Imani Gospel Singers were invited to perform at the evening concert of the 3rd Global Conference on World’s Religions after 9/11.  This conference aims to remind mankind of the positive and uniting power of religion. On September 15th, 2016, religious thought leaders convened in Montreal to discuss current issues and to unveil a Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the World’s Religions.  Invited speakers included Deepak Chopra, Karen Armstrong, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and more.

The Royal’s Inspiration Awards are a celebration of the incredible contributions being made to the mental health cause.  On March 4th, 2016, The Imani Gospel Singers performed before Honorary Patron Margaret Trudeau and many others at one of Ottawa’s premier social events. Attracting leaders from the business, political, public and not-for-profit communities, the Royal’s Gala events have raised well in excess of a million dollars for patient care, comfort and research.

Year  after  year,  in  the  depths  of  the Montreal  winter,  irresistible  gospel   tunes fill Montreal's  oldest   stone   chapel.  Since   the   festival   was  launched  in  2003 by  the  Pastoral  unit at the  Notre-­Dame-­de-­Bon-­Secours  Chapel,  it  has  thrilled  and  delighted audiences  seeking  authenticity  and hope.
